School Holiday Shop FAQ
Straight answers about inventory, volunteers, profit, checkout, shipping and the student shopping experience.
What is a school holiday shop?
An in-school event where students purchase affordable gifts for family, friends, teachers and others. The school or PTO organizes volunteers while Frosty’s Friends supplies the merchandise and program materials.
Do we have to buy the inventory upfront?
No. The program is designed without an upfront inventory purchase. Schools pay based on sold merchandise and return unsold items according to the program instructions.
Does our PTO have to count every item?
The pre-programmed tablet register and scanning wand are designed to track sales and reduce manual counting during the event.
Can our school earn money?
Yes. Flexible profit options are available. Your committee can choose a structure that balances fundraising goals with affordable prices for families.
What supplies are included?
Program materials can include promotional flyers, money envelopes, posters, table materials, gift bags, take-home bags and checkout equipment.
What if a gift sells out?
Reorders are available for hot sellers so popular items can be replenished during the event.
How early should we reserve dates?
Schools often choose their holiday-shop provider in the spring and early fall. Reserving earlier gives you the best selection of December dates and may qualify your school for current signing bonuses.
Is this only for PTOs and PTAs?
No. PTOs and PTAs are common organizers, but school administrators, staff groups and other authorized school organizations can host the program.
